Mary Corbet's blog this morning is entitled "When you care enough, embroider your cards". I've received a few embroidered cards over the years and they are very special to me and I've kept them all. Here's a link to the blog post if you are interested in embroidering some cards of your own this season...
I may just do some myself this year for very special people.
Just want to chime in here and let you all know how much I enjoy what I do. Today I'm sitting in my cozy house with 25 degrees and snow outside. I'm connecting with the whole world via The Wooly Thread. I'm sending shipments to Lativa, Israel, France and the United Arab Emirates. Earlier this month, shipments went to Jordan, South Africa and Japan along with the more usual international destinations of Canada and western Europe. I even had an order from Yemen earlier this year. We have suppliers in Lithuania, Finland, Australia, UK, Canada, and even South Africa. I enjoy geography and used to enjoy international travel, so this is fun for me. Thanks for being a part of my business - I would not be here were it not for you.
I've had several people call and ask where they can get Susan O'Connor's new book "Monograms". I asked the publisher and here is that info: ......it is available from Stitchology https://www.stitchology.com.au/ . I did see a listing on Amazon.com for them, too.
Inspirations newsletter 'Embroidery News' has a nice write up on one of our deeply discounted back issues - #56. Here the gist of it...

Spirit of Peace - Superb Christmas tree ornament
White Christmas - Beautiful white on white Christmas tree ornament
Plus 8 other projects.
Every year about this time, I try to find some 'goodie' for all of us. In years past, it has most often been chocolate of some sort, but this year I came upon something I'm really excited about - Copper Pot Caramels! What I especially like is that this company was started about 5 years ago by two young women who make these caramels themselves and... they do it right here in my town. I'm so excited to support local woman-owned businesses .Here's a link to their site and a short video that tells their story.
Our newest curve ruler tool - the 12" Curve Runner has finally arrived. It joins the 8" Curve Runner and the several different sizes of SA Curve Rulers. They are all on our website and ready to go. Here it is....
Here's a cute video showcasing the designs in the soon-to-be-released Ottobre Design magazine - winter issue for children. I especially like the pj's for mom and dad. Enjoy!
After a verrrrry long hiatus.....several of the A-Z books are back! Just today we got our shipment of these 6 A-Z books:
Embroidery Stitches 2, Goldwork, Heirloom Sewing, Thread Painting, Ribbon Embroidery, and Smocking. They join the other A-Z titles we already had in stock.
The best news is that these highly acclaimed books cost far less than they did previously.

What a busy month for new products!
Both Inspirations and Ottobre magazines will release new issues this month. The new Curve Runner rulers have been mailed and will be here this coming week. Then - just today- the new kits we ordered from Australia's Anna Scott arrived. I just finished posting them to our website, so if you are interested, check them out on our website.
We have now these 3 designs in stock and ready to ship.
"Inspirations" magazine issue 87 will be sent out in about two weeks. In the meantime, I'll be posting pictures of some of the projects you'll find in this newest issue. The first one is the cover - this project is called "Briar Rose" - it is a 3-D project.
I've ordered 3 different embroidery kits from Anna Scott of Country Bumpkin and Inspirations fame. They have been shipped and I expect them here in about a week. There will be 3 each of these designs. They'll be on our website once they arrive and are available. I'll post here, too, once they get here.
Our auction to sell off my magazine stash of the past 20 years just ended at midnight. All the Inspirations magazine sold and several years worth of Ottobre. The unsold Ottobre have been re-listed. We have years 2010, 2009, 2007, 2006, 2005, 2004, 2002, and 2003 - my favorite.
The first issue of 2003 is the only one known to me that has patterns for 18" dolls - including the tote and doll carrier shown - as well as, a matching outfit for child and doll (see photo taken from issue 1/2003)
These are all auction style ending this time next week. Here's the link: click on that you only want to see auction style listings and only these magazines will come up. http://stores.ebay.com/thewoolythread

They are grouped by issue and/or by year. They are for sale auction style on ebay ending about midnight Monday, the 6th. If you are interested, here's the link:
