Here's the cover of the newest Ottobre issue - autumn, 2010. It will be sent out the first week of July. Description of the contents is in an earlier blog post dated June 8th. Looks like another winner!
Our long sought-after organic wool blanketing in the natural off-white color is now all sold out and the mill has closed, so there is no more available at this time. We are still on the hunt for another source, but for now, we have no prospects. We do still have some brown/tan/camel colored wool blanketing and a small quantity of light blue, but no more white. Two different woolen mills have closed since the recession began. One had been in business for 144 years.
Issue 67 of Inspirations magazine is expected next month and will be the 'Christmas in July' issue. It includes projects that are quick, simple and perfect to give as gifts. Contributors include Jane Nicholas, Barbara Jackson - America's most illustrious crewel embroiderer and Michelle Hill, to name a few.
It also features 10 Christmas projects from basic felted robin badges to some extraordinary needlepainting by UK's leading author and designer Helen Stevens. This issue is touted to be the biggest issue ever.
Here's a glimpse of one project you'll find in this next issue ...
