I'm trying to be better prepared this year by not having to order any supplies after Thanksgiving when the mail crunch - ie. delays and shortages begin, so I'm trying to get very well stocked right now. I have about 6000 skeins of Appleton here with more expected this week, I have 300+ curved rulers, almost two hundred Inspirations #84, and now more Loo-Hoo dryer balls are on their way, as are some more cat caves and our ever-popular Swedish tracing paper that has been unavailable for the past few week.
When my supply of rulers, cat caves, magazines (and a few other items) run out, it takes weeks to get more. I'll be away for Thanksgiving and Christmas, so if you want anything before the New Year, PLEASE don't wait until the last minute. I'll do everything possible to get your orders out on time, but please do your part by ordering early enough to get what you want when you want it.
Do you sew individually or with a group that sews for charity?
If so, write me a little about it.
I have a few issues of Ottobre here that I will give away to be used for individuals or charitable groups sewing clothing for children.
The children's winter issue of Ottobre is being released next week. More good news is that the price is lower since the Euro-US$ exchange rate has improved for those of us on this side of the Atlantic.
In case you missed this in our newsletter....

Many of you are Martha Pullen fans - as am I. We go way back to my earliest days in business and have worked together on occasion. In those days I purchased several of her items - among those were her "Three Best Friends" dolls. They have been packed away all these years and now it is time to pass them along to someone else to enjoy. They are listed in my Ebay store if anyone is interested - they've been unavailable for quite a long time. Here's the link to the listing:
Yesterday was a big mail day for us. Inspirations #83 issues were mailed out and when I returned home from the post office, Trish Burr's "Moonlit Owl" kits had arrived. Some of these kits are already spoken for, but we do have a few more available is you want one. These kits are complete with threads, fabric, and instructions. They are on our website www.woolythread.com and ready to ship.
Have you all seen this?
We have been selling subscriptions and single issues to Inspirations for years. If you want to help this world class magazine, subscribe either through them directly or through us - Inspirations needs your support. Let's not lose another great magazine.
These adorable owl kits from Trish Burr are on their way from South Africa!
The "Moonlight Owl" kit includes all the threads plus Irish cambric linen, needles and booklet. Price will be $65.
They won't be on my website until they arrive, but you can reserve one via email if you'd like. Since they've been so popular, I couldn't get as many as I wanted, so my stock will be limited.
